Finally at Silverstone, July 2012

GOAL AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECT
  • Use achieved knowledge and further develop skill and expertise in solving engineering problems

  • Learn a good design process - including product idea generation to product development, 3D modeling, production, simulation and product cost calculation

  • Learn how mechanical components function in a mechanical system

  • Learn the influence of design choices (shape size and material) on performance of a mechanical system

  • Show that the field of mechanical engineering is a core discipline where innovative solutions are developed and realized

  • Stimulate student recruitment (more and clever)  for mechanical engineering education (UiS)

  • Stimulate and strengthen industry - university cooperation through sponsorship agreements

  • Stimulate competition driven learning (Learn to win)

  • Develop experience in team work and project execution
