GOAL AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECT Use achieved knowledge and further develop skill and expertise in solving engineering problems Learn a good design process - including product idea generation to product development, 3D modeling, production, simulation and product cost calculation Learn how mechanical components function in a mechanical system Learn the influence of design choices (shape size and material) on performance of a mechanical system Show that the field of mechanical engineering is a core discipline where innovative solutions are developed and realized Stimulate student recruitment (more and clever) for mechanical engineering education (UiS) Stimulate and strengthen industry - university cooperation through sponsorship agreements Stimulate competition driven learning (Learn to win) Develop experience in team work and project execution

Kuleste racerbilen i byen? 45 studenter fra maskiningeniørlinjen og elektro ved Universitetet, UiS, har bygget racerbilen. To har tatt mastergrad på den, 10 har tatt bachelor. Bilbyggingen skal gjøre dem til bedre studenter. Stavanger Aftenbladet 24. juni 2013
