NSF Stavanger, founded Fall 2019, is a local organization within the Norwegian Statistical Association (NSF).
NSF Stavangers main purpose is to support NSFs in its work for statisticians and people interested in statistics by, among others,
organise meetings for members and other friends of statistics in the region of Stavanger.

Meeting Tuesday November 23 at 7pm

Next meeting in the local chapter will be held November 23 at 19:00 at the Iron Age Farm visit center (Madlamarkveien 152). There will be talks by Arild Buland ("Bayesian seismic inversion") and Jörn Schulz ("Statistics on shapes and locally parametrized interiors") and food and mingling.


First meeting

On Wednesday 27. November 2019 we arranged our first meeting with interesting talks by Tore Kleppe (UiS), Anastasia Ushakova (SUS), Kaouther Hadji (Accenture) and Jørgen Bølstad (UiS). We hope to continue the success - more info to come.
