Thor Ole Gulsrud

was born in Stavanger, Norway in 1965. He received his M.Sc. degree in 1991 from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

During 1992-1997 Mr. Gulsrud was employed as an Assistant Professor at Høgskolen i Stavanger (Stavanger University College), Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering, Stavanger, Norway. From 1997 until 1999 he was employed as GIS/GIT Manager at the Norwegian Hydrographic Service in Stavanger. He is now an Associate Professor at Høgskolen i Stavanger, Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Gulsruds main research interest is texture analysis of digital mammograms. He is specially interested in the design of optimal filters for texture feature extraction.

Mr. Gulsrud is a member of NOBIM and NORSIG.

Mr. Gulsrud is a member of the Signal Processing Group at Stavanger University College.
