Scope and Objectives
ÒCloudÓ is a common metaphor for an Internet accessible infrastructure, hiding most of the implementation and deployment details of the system from users. Cloud computing delivers IT-related capabilities as services over the Internet, allowing resources be managed and accessed in an Internet scale. It enables services that require vast and dynamic computational or storage resources e.g. business tools, social networks, mobile services.
The workshop focuses on methods, techniques, tools and frameworks that address challenges of Cloud Computing services and their interoperability, in particular in relation to data management, processing, security and interchange.
This workshop aims to providing a forum to bring together researchers and practitioners for sharing cloud computing related research, developments, experience, and lessons for building Clouds of interoperability and coordination capabilities.
Topics of interest
include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Interoperability and Federation Protocols
Middleware Frameworks
Broker, Exchange, and Arbitrage Architectures
Converged Implementations of Clouds, Grids and Mainframes
QoS/SLA in Interoperable and Federated Clouds
Service-oriented Computing on the Cloud
Directory of Services and Services Coordination
Management of Clouds and their Interoperability and Federation
Interoperable and Federated Cloud Security, Trust and Privacy
Governance and Regulatory in Cloud Interoperability and Federation
Geo-balancing in Interoperable and Federated Clouds
Common Programming Models across Clouds
